On the 17.04 we are glad to delight jazz lovers with a premiere at Brückenstern! The new voice in Hamburg, Sofya Chekster with her band will perform a program of her original music.



It’s a great opportunity to listen to live jazz music. Musicians will present their view on the modern concepts of how jazz should sound. The songs are a combination of melodicity and dynamic rhythm, soulful lyrics and instrumental richness of modern jazz.


Sofya Chekster is a jazz singer and songwriter from Russia. Recently she graduated from HfMT Hamburg, a student of JD Walter (NewYork).
The singer’s passionate, aspiring nature is not afraid of taking on complex projects and bringing to life brave ideas. And that certainly makes her interesting and warmly loved by jazz fans. And the unique program will not leave anyone indifferent.


Along with Sofya there on the stage will play remarkable musicians from Hamburg:
Henning Schiewer – Bass
Claudio Palana – Piano
Alex Petratos – drums
